Re: S3 Connector
Hello,
yes, S3 compatible APIs can be accessed by choosing S3 in Syncovery, and adding the server URL after the bucketname, like this:
bucketname@server.url
An example for Wasabi:
bucketname@s3.wasabisys.com

Re: Support for AWS Signature Version 4.
Hello,
the new versions 8.67c and 9.00a should now be able to recognize the need for signature V4, and you can also enforce it by adding
AWSAlwaysUseSignatureV4=1
to the [Main] section of the Syncovery.ini file.

Re: Unable to connect with Mega.co
Hello, the new versions 8.67c and 9.00a now contain significant improvements to Mega support. The login process has been improved to prevent any unexpected delays, and Two-Factor-Authentication is now supported. I don't see any reasons for transfers to fail, except if your drive is full or your dail...

Re: Filter by file type
Hello, yes, you can use Inclusion Masks such as: *.CR2;*.RAF Then only these files will be copied. You can also do the opposite, and only exclude certain file types. In that case, you would not touch the Inclusion Masks and use Exclusions instead, such as: *.jpg Inclusion and Exclusion Masks are ava...

Re: Mac Permissions and ACL's
Hello, yes, it can copy all metadata along with files - if the destination volume supports the metadata (especially not via Internet Protocol). For some metadata, Syncovery may need to run "as root". You can choose that via the Gears toolbar button on the main Profile Overview tab sheet. Please take...

Re: Best cloud service for backups
Hello, for speedy uploads, I think you need simple cloud storage, such as Amazon S3, Microsoft Azure BLOB storage, Rackspace Cloud Files, and Backblaze B2. I think Backblaze B2 will be the most cost efficient, and it has the advantage of being able to retain the files' Last Modification timestamps. ...

Re: Dropbox very slow upload
Hello, with DropBox, the number of HTTP requests within a certain time is limited. So if you upload many small files, it can be very slow. Uploading to Amazon S3 can probably be 100 times faster. None of the modern cloud drives allow really many uploads in a small period of time. They vary slightly,...
