Hello
I am trying to sync a folder with a virtual drive from Cryptomator (encrypted vault). When trying to select location, syncovery does not recognize the drive letter or its name.
Could this be related to the WinFsp driver that cryptomator uses to create the virtual drive? Any known workaround?
Thank you for your time
Syncovery does not recognize Cryptomator's virtual drive
Re: Syncovery does not recognize Cryptomator's virtual drive
Hello,
please post the exact error message that you get or send a screenshot of where the drive is missing.
In general if something is missing from Syncovery's Browse dialog, you can just copy and paste the path from the address bar of Windows File Explorer.
Then try the job in Attended Mode.
If you use the scheduler, it's possible that some types of drives are not accessible when the scheduler is running as a service. In that case, you may have to switch to using the background scheduler instead.

Cryptomator virtual drive unit is F:
This is what I see when I browse right side (note F: missing here):
This is what I see in windows Explorer:
This is what I see if I just write the drive letter (F:) and try to select specific folders

Re: Syncovery does not recognize Cryptomator's virtual drive
Hello again,
I have installed Cryptomator myself now.
I have no problems working with Syncovery and the Cryptomator drive at all.
The interesting difference is that my Cryptomator drive appears as a network drive. It does have a drive letter, but Syncovery then suggests to replace the drive letter with the network path:
\\cryptomator-vault\Vc58iXN1nJvj\CryptoTest
Not sure why your drive F: appears as a local drive.

This is what happens when I try to select folders using cryptomator as a network drive:
Re: Syncovery does not recognize Cryptomator's virtual drive
ok, please don’t do that
type folder exclusions in the profile under
Masks & Filters -> Exclusions
For example:
\Archive
\Secret
\Videos\Archive

Still can not run profile
Re: Syncovery does not recognize Cryptomator's virtual drive
Hello,
your Cryptomator path is not correct.
It must have the name of the drive at the end. For example:
\\cryptomator-vault\Vc58iXN1nJvj\CryptoTest
So, after the part with the random letters and numbers, you must have a backslash, followed by the name of the drive.
This way, it works fine here.
In your case I think you need to add
\DiscoDAsus
at the end of the path.

Re: Syncovery does not recognize Cryptomator's virtual drive
Thank you Tobias.
It is working now. I thought the random numbers and letters were some sort of drive ID.
Your insight is out of this world.

Thanks!
I think the subfolder selection dialog should now work too.
