Update the Older Version Number on Standard Copying (with Version)

Hello,

I have a backup plan with the following settings (on Syncovery 10.8.5 on QNAP):
- Copy Directions: Left to Right
- Sync operation mode: Standard copying
- Versioning:
-- Keep older version when replacing: 5 per file
-- Only on right-hand side
-- Renaming of older version: Add timestamp
-- Filename Encoding: On the right side, put timestamp into all file names
Image

Now, if I were to update this versioning setting from 5 to 3:
-- Keep older version when replacing: 3 per file

Will the backup profile will delete the older version 4 and 5? or not? consider I selected "Standard Copying" sync operation mode?
If not, is there a way to delete those older versions?

Thanks

Hello,
it will delete them for any given file, when there is a new version for a file.

To clean up all older versions even if there isn't a new version yet, you can choose the following checkmark under Versioning->More:

"Clean up all older versions based on the specified number to keep (If unchecked, the limit is enforced only for files that are copied)"

Thanks for the tips, it works!

Small suggestion, perhaps during the "show detailed status" / "backup preview" page", to show the number of 'older versions removed' too
